![#WORRYDONTWORK | In Matthew 6, Jesus commands us not to worry.
Matthew 6:25 (AMP)
โTherefore I tell you, stop being worried or anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted) about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, as to what you will wear. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing?
To worry is to be pulled in different directions, leading us to be distracted and to have a divided mind.
While we may see worry as a natural response to the circumstances of life, the bible teaches us that worry goes beyond our emotions and affects us on a spiritual level.
When we worry, we allow the enemy to use it as a weapon against ourselves.
Our persistent worry does not work
When we allow worry to overwhelm us, the devil uses the fear of tomorrow to rob us of the joy and grace that God provides for today.
Worrying also distracts us from what is truly important
On the contrary, walking in faith means keeping our focus on God and His kingdom.
Ultimately, how we deal with worry demonstrates the faith we have in God
The Bible teaches that we ought to bring everything in prayer to God and trust Him to take care of us.
At the heart of worry is an orphan mentality which believes in the lie that weโre not valuable to God and He cannot be trusted to take care of us. But the Bible clearly says otherwise.
1 Peter 5:7 (AMP)
โฆ casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].
Therefore, every time weโre tempted to worry, letโs run to our Heavenly Father and trust Him to take care of us. He loves us so very much.

![#MINDRENOVATION | As long as we live on this earth, we will need to learn to forgive. We are all imperfect. No one is immune to hurt, and each of us has the capacity to hurt others.
The Bible is clear about Godโs command to forgive. Choosing to nurture our hurt will only lead to bitterness that grows and ultimately affects our relationship with God.

We may not be able to forget the past, but we can be freed from its grip through forgiveness.
Bitterness, on the other hand, gives the devil a foothold and keeps us captive to the person who hurt us.
The bible teaches that forgiveness is a choice and a process we go through with God.
When we allow the Holy Spirit to surface deep-seated pain and choose to forgive, God heals us gently and completely.
Ultimately, we can forgive because we have first been forgiven of so much. God demonstrated His mercy through Jesus, who died for our sins even while we were still sinners.
When we obey His command to forgive, we find great freedom at the other side of it. So letโs choose to forgive!
